In the studio
Every painting begins with a single colour and grows layer by layer. I add, scrape back and add again, with palette knives and brushes, until the surface holds the feeling I am looking for.
A glimpse of that process, from first layer to final texture.
MANCHAS | Imagined Landscapes
Each work begins with watercolour left to spread freely on paper. Placed instinctively, the marks slowly reveal imaginary landscapes: a sky before the storm, a dense wood, a distant coastline.
Like memories, they do not describe a real place, but the feeling of one.
Each fine art paper print is reproduced from an original painting in the series.
Good to know
Answers to the questions I am asked most often. If yours is not here, feel free to get in touch.
Does the print come framed?
No. Paper prints are supplied unframed, so you can choose a frame that suits your space.
What paper is used?
The paper is listed in the product details above, as it can vary from one artwork to another.
How is it packed?
Smaller prints are sent flat in a rigid envelope. Larger prints are rolled to protect them from creasing: unroll gently and let the print rest flat before framing.
Will the colours match the original?
Each print is reproduced with giclée printing for rich, faithful colour. Screens vary, so tones may look slightly different in person.
Is the original painting available?
No. The originals behind my prints are not for sale. My original paintings are offered separately, as unique pieces that are never reproduced as prints.
