Description

ORIGINS returns to what shapes us first. A deep cobalt blue, shadowed with navy and touches of violet, meets a vivid red-orange that recalls sun-baked earth, warmed with ochre and soft lilac. Between them, a bright line of turquoise and white catches the light.

It speaks of roots and belonging, of the places and people that stay with us wherever we go. The contrast of cool and warm gives it energy and presence, while its slim, panoramic format suits a hallway, a kitchen wall or the space above a desk.

In the studio

Every painting begins with a single colour and grows layer by layer. I add, scrape back and add again, with palette knives and brushes, until the surface holds the feeling I am looking for.

A glimpse of that process, from first layer to final texture.

ECHOES | Layers of Memory

ECHOES is a series shaped through layers of colour, texture and memory. As with the experiences we carry through life, some traces remain visible while others recede beneath the surface, quietly adding depth and shaping what comes after.

Each work is built, softened and revealed until these layers find their own balance.

Each original in the series is a unique piece, painted by hand.

Can I see the painting in more detail?

Of course. Ask me for close-up photos or a short video of the surface and edges.

Is the painting framed?

No. The edges are painted, so the work is complete as it is. I do not attach hanging fixings, so you are free to hang it in whichever direction you prefer.

How is it delivered?

Original paintings are delivered free of charge to the UK, Europe and selected countries worldwide. Any import duties or taxes are paid by the buyer. If your country is not available at checkout, feel free to get in touch.

Can you create a similar piece in another size?

Yes. I accept a limited number of commissions, creating new works in the same spirit, tailored in scale and palette. Each one is a new original, not a copy. If you would like to discuss a commission, feel free to get in touch.

Will this painting be reproduced as a print?

No. Each original is a unique piece and will not be reproduced as a print. You may, however, find prints of other works in a similar spirit.
